Linda Ingle
My name is Linda Ingle and I have been in education as a teacher, a teacher assistant, tutor, substitute teacher and volunteer. Colleges and universities I have been affiliated with include: The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Queens University, and Central Piedmont Community College.
The professional organization to which I belong is the North Carolina Association of Educators. I have attended workshops and conferences to further my knowledge and sharpen my skills to better serve your children. I have advocated at the state level for the betterment of education, as well as at the local level. I serve on the Executive Board of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Association of Educators as the Elementary School Representative and Communications Chair. In the capacity of my affiliation with the CMAE, I have advocated for public education by speaking at our local School Board Meetings and at the County Commission Meetings. I have traveled to Raleigh to speak with legislators, as well as speaking with them in Charlotte at CMAE sponsored events. I have assisted with education rallies, press conferences, spoken to the media, and helped write and implement petitions that have been hand delivered to legislators in Raleigh.
My favorite season is fall. I prefer the cool weather and watching the leaves turn from green to red, orange, yellow, gold and purple. Even though I like to see the changing of the leaves, I don't relish the idea of raking up all those leaves. : ) Because I enjoy fall as my favorite season, my husband and I chose to marry on the first day of fall, September 22, 2012. I have lived in Charlotte my entire life and attended schools in CMS. My children also attended public school here in Charlotte.
The Panthers are my favorite football team and the UNCC 49ers are my favorite basketball team. I cheer them on whenever I can.
I love being a teacher. When a student realizes something for the first time or makes a connection that he has never made before, it is an amazing thing to see. I get to be involved with those moments on a daily basis. My job is awesome because I get to interact with awesome children all day long. I look forward to meeting you and your awesome children.
